Landscapes
I absolutely love taking landscape photos, but actually struggled to get "the right shot" this week. It was pretty rainy or overcast for the most part, and I was out of town most of the week. This first picture is from the Waterbury Reservoir. I really liked the framing with the trees but wish the tuff of leaves were not touching the sky on the right hand side. I couldn't get the angle just right.
This next photo I liked how the train trestle reflected in the water, and broke up the shot. Wind hadn't been blowing so hard the water would have been calmer and would have reflected better.
This photo I liked how bright the sky was against the dark mountains in the distance.
This one is another from the Reservoir that I liked.
When you have a camera in your hand you can never find the right shot, but when you don't, the shot is always there in front of you. Your first shot looks very tropical. It depicts a different shot of VT than you would normally see. I like the way you framed the mountains.
ReplyDeleteI agree that your train trestle photo is great. The only thing I would try out is, if you live close to it, trying it out with lighting and the position of the sun. I think you captured a really great photo, the way it reflects in the water, it isn't blurry, and you can see the depths of the mountains.
