Dodge Burn and Filters

Dodge, Burn and Filter
 
For this picture of my sister and niece I used the dodge and burn tools to lighten my nieces face and to darken the purple in the foreground.
For these next two pictures I played around with the supernova filter and the different border affects.  I also used the burn tool to darken the pictures

    I like how subtle the dodge and burn is on your photos. Are you using GIMP? The filters on your next photos are fun!
