Clone and Paint
For this first picture I used the clone tool to get rid of a ripple in the water that took the focus away from Conor. Then just for fun I cloned Conor, this would be an easy way to add a reflection of shadow. It doesn't really work with this picture because I couldn't get the cloned Conor to be as dark as the original but it was a good way to experiment.
These next two photos are from my photo story. For the first one I made a duplicate copy and turned one of them black and white, next I added a layer mask to the black and white copy. On the color copy I used the color select tool to select all the gold then on the layer mask I used the paint brush tool to paint over the letters and the gold showed through.
For this last one I did it a little differently, I did the same thing to turn the photo black and white then I added a transparent layer. On that layer I selected the pant brush and painted over the eyes, while the layer was still selected I went to the Mode drop bar and selected "color" then erased any where I got blue that I didn't want it.
That last photo is SO cute! AWWW! That said, I think the way you used clone was really cool! I think I may do something similar in my photostory.
ReplyDeleteI love the first photo! I looks like you have twins! Did you find it hard to use the paint tool on the black and white photo? I found that when I tired that the colors didn't come out correct, I also like the color that you chose for the jersey, I though it was originally that color.
