Selection Tool

Using Gimp

This week I took three separate photos and played around with them in Gimp.  Once I liked how the photos looked I then cropped the photos and placed them on top of one another in the frame.  This is my mom holding a picture of her daughter (my sister Nicole), and Nicole holding a picture of her daughters.

  1. Super creative! How long did it take you to come up with the finish product? I know that our teacher said that GIMP and Photoshop are very similar, I would like to see what GIMP has to offer over the other program. It's a really neat photo!

    1. Gimp a lot different than Photoshop. I used to have photoshop before my computer crashed and decided to try Gimp because it was free. This took me about an hr to do since I had no clue where any of the functions I need were located

  2. That is a really neat concept, and an awesome photo! Gimp was super difficult to use for me, but you appear to be a master!

  5. That, is awesome!

To be able to visualize this and then execute it in Photoshop or GIMP, is an extraordinary skill. Because you already had some familiarity with Photoshop, I am guessing that it made it easier for you to figure out the tools in GIMP. Great work on this!
