Collage

Collage

For my personal goal this week I wanted to work on capturing texture and as much detail as possible while still being in focus.  I had some troubles with blurring due to hand shaking so I decided to take photos of many different subjects, some free hand and some with the camera stabilized.  I got a few shots that I really liked individually, as a collage they are a little strange, but because that was what the assignment called for, this is the end result......

  1. Hi Danielle, I like the way the colors come together in your collage. It is nice to see the difference in the bright flowers and fruit to the muted color of the rocks.

  2. You did a very nice job capturing different textures. I like the way you placed different pictures to emphasize the color for some and the text was for others.

  3. I think you accomplish your goal of getting texture. Contrasting color against texture is an excellent idea. Keep playing with this tool and see what other combinations you can come up with and how those com.binations and placements of images change and affect the rest of the images

  4. It's really neat how you centered the main images so they stand out with their color against the background of rocks. You definitely got some good textures, I'm still trying to figure out what the one to the top-right of the apple is...

    1. The green thing on the right of the apple is a rotting zucchini (I threw it out after I took the photo lol) and the brown one is a teddy bear.

  5. I think the flower and apple added nice pops of color in the collage against the pretty photo of the rocks in the background. I thought the texture of the apple was unexpected but very cool.

  6. I too agree with everyone about capturing the textures of all the photo's you took. They are all unique and blend well with one another. The hard thing about macro is that you have to find objects that aren't moving to capture that perfect shot. You did a great job choosing the right objects.

  7. I found that when having several shots that had similar color using them as a frame worked well for balance. I love the detail you got and your macro is a better setting than mine for sure. Enjoy shooting and playing with these more.
